Jake Shields’ Release Shows Entertainment Value Outweighs Ability in the UFC

The UFC have released former Strikeforce middleweight champion and welterweight contender Jake Shields. The decision highlights the importance the UFC places on entertainment over technical ability in MMA. Shields is coming off a decision loss to Hector Lombard at UFC 171 and compiled four wins, three losses and one no contest during his UFC tenure.
