Dublin’s Paul Redmond will make his BAMMA debut against Jack McGann in a lightweight bout at BAMMA 26. The event takes place in Dublin’s 3Arena, June 4th.
BAMMA officials confirmed the news exclusively with Talking Brawls.
Redmond hasn’t fought since losing to Robert Whiteford at UFC Fight Night Glasgow, last July. The UFC veteran (10-6 MMA, 0-0 BAMMA) went 0-2 in his stint with the promotion, competing in the featherweight division.

Redmond now returns to lightweight for the fight with Liverpudlian, McGann.
The Team Ryano stand-out believes it’s a fantastic fight for the fans.
“He’s a highly touted guy. I’ve actually met him before, he’s a super nice guy, too. I’m there to win, he’s there to win but we’ll have a pint after. I really think it’s going to be an interesting stylistic match. Most of his wins are via TKO and he’s a really good boxer. On paper, it’s a really good fight.”
Redmond is delighted to be fighting in 3Arena, having missed out of a place on UFC Dublin card, last October.
“I missed the first BAMMA card because I was still sort of signed to the UFC, by the time the second BAMMA card came around we were working out the contracts. I missed out on UFC dublin card, too. I must be the only Irish fighter not to have fought in the 3Arena. I’ll go down and try and do the business on Saturday.”
McGann (9-2 MMA, 3-2 BAMMA) is coming of a submission defeat to Damien Lapilus at BAMMA 23 but remains one of Britains’ most talked about prospects.
BAMMA 26 takes place June 4th in the 3Arena, Dublin. The event will be headlined with a Light Heavyweight Title Fight between Scottish Champion Paul ‘Bearjew’ Craig and Dubliner ‘The Housewives Choice’ Chris Fields.
