Myles Jury injured, Paul Felder steps in to face Edson Barboza at UFC Chicago.
Myles Jury has been forced out of his scheduled lightweight bout with Edson Barboza (15-3 MMA, 9-3 UFC) due to an undisclosed injury. Barboza who originally stepped in for the injured Anthony Pettis will now fight Philadelphia’s Paul Felder (10-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC).
UFC ON FOX 16 takes place July 25 at the United Airlines Centre in Chicago.
The event includes a UFC championship title fight between bantamweight champion T.J Dillashaw and Renan Barao.
Felder is coming off a spinning backfist ‘knockout of the night’ performance over UFC vet Danny Castillo. The ‘Irish Dragon’ is unbeaten in his MMA career and is 2-0 in his UFC tenure.
Barboza is coming off a decision loss to Michael Johnson at UFC Fight Night 61, and is 2-2 in his last 4, dropping one of those fights to Paul Felder’s BMF stablemate Donald Cerrone.
